Our Approach

We describe the Dramatic Improvement approach as ‘bespoke’. The work we do is specifically and carefully tailored. It is delivered by highly skilled roleplay actors and facilitators, chosen for an ideal fit with our clients’ environment, culture and programme requirements.

We create learning encounters that use actors in scenarios that are real, believable and relevant. We take great care in preparing for this. We understand the need to create a safe environment for delegate experimentation and learning. We seek to access the maximum benefit from an intervention and – importantly – make sure it is a useful, enjoyable and positive experience for all participants.

Quality of feedback

Quality of feedback is fundamental to our ethos and all Dramatic Improvement actor/facilitators are proven experts at delivering valuable and insightful feedback to roleplay participants whenever the programme allows. This promotes reflection and self awareness for the participant and explores opportunities for future development.

Best practice

From initial meeting, the process we follow is built around our client’s requirements. It includes taking a detailed brief and creating any scripts in close consultation with the client. We tune the delivery to hit or exceed the programme drivers.

In assessment situations we calibrate the approach and level of challenge in line with client requirements and best practice. Consistency is upheld by calibration and testing.

approach

When working on development, the environment we aim to create is a safe 'learning laboratory' that is as close as possible to the delegate's own. We work confidentially and supportively, challenging and encouraging the individuals and teams we work with.

We work both directly with client organisations and in partnership with consultancies offering training, development or assessment.

Flexible & easy to use

Dramatic Improvement to me sums up a highly skilled resource that’s flexible and easy to use in a whole host of ways. Whatever the setting, the work the team deliver is always first rate. They set very high standards and keep to them consistently, which means I have absolute trust in them. I also have to say that they’re great fun to work with.”
